DAKKOTA : CODE OF CONDUCT

 

CHILD LABOR: Dakkota will not use child labor. Dakkota defines a child as anyone under the age of eighteen. If federal or local law is more restrictive than Dakkota policy, Dakkota will comply with the letter and spirit of the all laws and regulations. In no event will Dakkota employ any person below the age of 18, unless this is part of a legitimate workplace internship program that would be clearly beneficial to the persons participating.

COMPENSATION: Dakkota shall ensure that wages paid for a standard working week shall always meet at least legal or industry minimum standards and shall be sufficient to meet basic needs of personnel and to provide some discretionary income as applicable. Dakkota shall also ensure that wages and benefits are rendered in full compliance with all applicable laws and that remuneration is rendered either in check form or direct deposit, in a manner convenient to workers.

FORCED LABOR: As more fully provided in our Purchasing Agreement - Dakkota will not use forced labor in any form, and will not tolerate physically abusive disciplinary practices.

FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING: Dakkota recognizes the partnership and respects its employees’ right to associate freely and bargain collectively. Dakkota will work constructively with recognized employee representatives to promote the interests of its employees. Dakkota will provide and Open Door process for employee concerns to be heard.

Dakkota provides training, technological innovations and proper equipment to help protect everyone’s safety. Employees are encouraged to maintain good health by exercising, proper nutrition, proper use of equipment and PPE.

WORK HOURS: The Company will comply with applicable laws regulating hours of work.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & INDIGENOUS POPULATIONS: Dakkota believes it is in the organization’s best interest for our culture that all interpersonal interaction be compassionate, engaged, involved, caring, sharing, respectful, trusting and personal. Dakkota supports community involvement and service programs such as the Food Bank, Giving Tree, Charity walks etc.

CONFIDENTIALITY: Dakkota shall ensure that all employees keep confidential, use solely for Dakkota assigned duties and not, directly or indirectly, disclose to any third party at any time during or after employment, any information (including proprietary or confidential information) about the business and affairs of, or belonging to Dakkota or any member of Dakkota, or their respective customers or suppliers, including information which, though technically not trade secrets, the dissemination of which might prove prejudicial to any of them. Dakkota shall ensure employees further agree to refrain from making derogatory comments about the Company or any owner, officer or employee of Dakkota, and refrain from discussion of matters concerning Dakkota with representatives of the press or other media. In addition, if requested at any time, employees shall execute a separate form of Employee Confidentiality Agreement in the form prescribed by Dakkota as a condition of continued employment.

RESPONSIBILITY AND IMPLEMENTATION/EXTENSION THROUGH SUPPLY CHAIN: As more fully provided in our Purchasing Agreement, Dakkota encourages businesses throughout our supply chain to adopt and enforce similar policies through, but not limited, to the Purchase Requisition process. Further, the Company will seek to identify and do business with organizations that conduct their businesses to standards that are consistent with Dakkota’s policies and practices.

BRIBERY & CORRUPTION:  Dakkota believes that integrity and fair dealing are essential assets of the company and this should be reflected in all activities. Each employee has a responsibility to ensure that the company will not get involved in corruption. No employee nor any other person representing Dakkota Integrated Systems, LLC such as agents, suppliers, joint venture partners or others, may on any occasion, neither directly or indirectly, offer anything of value to any person that directly or indirectly. Similarly, Dakkota employees shall not receive any money, gifts or favors that would improperly influence the behavior of the employee, another employee or the Corporation as a whole.
